| Little Beens was established in 1999 after Lin and Carlo were unable to find a facility for their own children that was secure, child friendly and that offered a loving and caring family environment, while at the same time taking care of the need for development growth and stimulation. After failing to find such a facility, they decided to start their own exclusive Educare Centre for their "Little Been". Since then their children have moved on to Beaulieu Preparatory. This grounding has foreseen Little Beens to be run as a secure, loving family environment that focuses on individual care. |
| |
| Our staff compliment - many of whom have been with Little Beens virtually since inception, consists of five qualified teachers, four assistants/child minders, chef, cleaner, gardener as well as an administrator and assistance from students performing their practicals from time to time. |
| |
| Apart from their School curriculum our "Little Beens" are always stimulated as they’ll take part in several School events throughout the year like educational shows, sports day, fun walks, spring day and the end year concert/graduation. |
| |
| More stimulating activities are provided by external specialists at an extra cost. Extra murals offered depending on the demand are Action ball, Ballet, Beaux-Arts (Pottery / Crafts), Computers, Gymnastics, Rugga Kids, Swimming, Soccer Starz and Kindermusik. All payments are made directly to the extra mural specialists, facilitated by Little Beens. |

Operational Times and Supervision |
| We are open throughout the year between January and December. We are even open on all private and public school holidays. The only time we close is on South African public holidays, Saturdays, Sundays and 3 weeks in December. During private and public school holidays our "Little Beens" will take part in our holiday care program at no extra cost. Our holiday care program is action packed with many fun activities. We operate from Mondays to Fridays between 07h00 and 17h30. Our children will be in care of our qualified teachers assisted by their assistants/child-minders. Our play area is supervised at all times during outdoor play time. All staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR. |
| |
Individual Care |
| As we strongly believe in providing individual care to educate your child, each class will have no more than 16 children taught by a qualified teacher, assisted by a child-minder. We do encourage parents to become actively involved in the education of their child in order to boost the learning experience. |
| |
Access and Security |
| We are situated in Beaulieu, a boomed off private country estate with top class security. Daily patrols are done by the estates security company. Our School premises are built within a 10 foot perimeter wall/electric fence. Additionally to this, in order to safeguard the security of our children further, the gate will be kept closed at all times and access will be by way of CCTV and the intercom system only. If an unknown entity is to fetch your child on any given day due to any reason, this arrangement must be explicitly made with the School. |
| |
Transport |
| We do make use of a few transport services that will gladly assist parents who require transport for their child. All payments are made directly to the transport service, facilitated by Little Beens. |
| |
Meals |
| As we care about our childrens health, well nourished meals are prepared by the chef to provide our "Little Beens" with all the appropriate nutrition for growth and energy. Our menu changes on a weekly basis to optimise this nutrition requirement. Addition to this we do cater for any individual requirement and religious beliefs. |
